The hospitality industry is changing.
It's time management did too.
The Turnaround isn't about fluff, corporate buzzwords, or putting on a leadership show. It's about real conversations, practical tools, and building workplaces that work better—for you and for the people who show up every day.
From one hospitality manager to another... I get it. The chaos. The pressure. The constant feeling that you're responsible for everything.
My goal is simple:
To help managers become better leaders who create healthier, more realistic, and more functional workplaces.
Because right now, there's a major disconnect between operational expectations and what teams realistically need to succeed — and that disconnect is burning people out.
Why This Matters
No matter how good your systems are, how many people you have on your team, or how many AI tools you use to automate operations...
If your leadership skills aren't strong and rooted in integrity, values, and compassion, your workplace will never perform to its full potential.
I've worked with managers so stuck in fear, anxiety, and survival mode that they've unintentionally worked themselves and their teams into the ground.
But leadership doesn't have to feel like that.
Through my experience in the hospitality industry, I help managers become the kind of leaders they always hoped they'd be.
The manager their team respects.
The mentor people trust.
The leader who creates structure, accountability, and healthier workplaces without sacrificing their entire life to the job.
The kind of manager whose workplace performs so well that upper management starts asking,
"What are you doing differently?"
Hi, I'm Natalie!
I started working in hospitality at 15 and became a manager at 20. Now, 20 years later, I’ve spent nearly my entire working life inside this industry. Leading teams, solving operational challenges, and watching incredible managers slowly burn themselves out trying to hold everything together.
Somewhere along the way, I realized the problem wasn't that managers stopped caring.
The workplace changed.
The expectations changed.
The workforce changed.
But the way we teach leadership largely stayed the same.
That's why I created The Turnaround.
Not to teach management theories or corporate buzzwords, but to have honest conversations about what leadership looks like today and to give managers practical tools they can actually use.
Because I believe great workplaces aren't built by accident.
They're built by leaders who are willing to grow.
Here's what you'll get from The Turnaround
so you and your team don't end up putting in your two weeks' notice.
Effective Communication
Tired of having the same conversation over and over again? Sick of doing work that someone else should be doing? Over the schedule that somehow keeps getting more complicated instead of less?
I'll show you how to communicate in a way that creates action, accountability, and real change. No more excuses.
Implementing Integrity
Integrity should be one of the strongest values in management, yet it's usually the first one thrown out the door when things get busy.
I'll show you how to bring integrity back into the workplace without sacrificing results—earning the respect of your team while still delivering for upper management.
Burnout-Preventing Schedules
My goal with The Turnaround is simple: get managers out of the 50–60 hour grind.
Working yourself into the ground isn't a sign of good leadership. It's usually a sign that your workplace isn't functioning the way it should.
I'll show you how to build schedules that reduce burnout, create healthier boundaries, and earn respect for your time—so your team doesn't expect 24/7 access to you.
I'm tired of hearing, "That's just part of the job."
No.
Poor planning isn't leadership.
Last-minute emergencies aren't a management style.
Running everyone into the ground isn't a badge of honor.
It's time to stop tolerating habits that are hurting our teams and start creating workplaces that actually function.

When the Job Isn't What You Signed Up For is a free reflection guide designed to help you understand whether you're experiencing burnout, role drift, unrealistic expectations, or a system that's no longer working.
-
When you open it:
Review the job you originally accepted.
Compare your expectations with your current reality.
Identify where your role quietly drifted.
Create a plan for what needs to change next.
-
If you've ever thought...
"This isn't what I signed up for."
"Why am I doing everyone else's job?"
"I'm exhausted."
"I don't know if I should stay or leave."
-
You'll leave with:
A clearer understanding of what's actually causing the pressure.
Written documentation of how your role has changed.
Practical next steps instead of more frustration.
A better understanding of whether the problem is you, your role, or the workplace itself.
-
If the guide helps you identify the problem, Module 1 helps you rebuild it.
You'll learn how to redesign responsibilities, rebuild structure, and create a workplace that doesn't depend on one person carrying everything.
Being in a leadership position in hospitality is a beast of its own, and unless you've lived it, it's one of the hardest jobs to understand.
From the outside, every problem seems to have an easy solution. But anyone who's actually managed a team knows it's rarely that simple.
I'm someone who truly understands the chaos of the food and beverage world because I've lived it too.
Most of the time, it isn't your team that's the problem. It isn't even your systems. Sure, they might need some work, but the one thing that usually needs the biggest shift is you.
That's not a criticism.
It's an opportunity.
Let's schedule a free 30-minute conversation, talk through what's happening at work, and figure out your next step together.
